Methodology

Every page on this site — home, region, or city — starts from the same question: which agencies have real, verifiable healthcare design work in that specific geography? We identify candidates from search, industry directories, and agency self-reporting, then check every claim independently before it appears on the site.

Location is a specific point of failure we check carefully. Many agencies run city-specific marketing pages — "Best Design Agency in [City]" — while actually operating from somewhere else entirely, sometimes hundreds of miles away. Before an agency appears on a city or region page, we confirm its actual office address and staff locations against independent sources (LinkedIn, business filings, direct contact information), not just what its own marketing pages claim. Where an agency is genuinely headquartered across two cities, we say so explicitly rather than picking one.

Every named client, case study, and result on this site is checked against the agency's own site or another independently verifiable source — never a directory profile or a self-submitted bio alone. Where a detail couldn't be confirmed, we either dropped it or left it out rather than publish an unverified claim.

• Genuine, repeated healthcare work, not one project in an otherwise unrelated portfolio.
• Design-led positioning. We favor agencies whose core identity is design, branding, or strategy — not software engineering shops that mention design as one service among several. We check how an agency describes itself on its own site and LinkedIn to make this call.
• A clear fit signal. Every listing states plainly who an agency is a poor fit for, not just who it's right for.

We exclude firms we can't independently verify have done genuine, named healthcare work. We exclude agencies whose primary self-description is "software development company," even when they also offer design services. We exclude an agency from a specific city or region page if we can't confirm genuine local presence there, even if the agency is legitimate and well-verified elsewhere on the site.

We don't accept payment for placement, and no agency can pay to improve its position on a ranking. Rank order changes only when an agency's public work or location changes — a new case study, a relocated office, a rebrand — not on a schedule and never in exchange for a fee.

Agency websites change, offices relocate, and case studies get taken down. If you spot something out of date or inaccurate — including a location error — we want to fix it. See the Contact page.
